Nicolas End
Last Updated: May 10, 2019Nicolas End joined the IMF in January 2014, where he served 4 years in the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) before moving to the Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD). Nicolas is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and the French school of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE). After an exchange program at Columbia University and a Master’s degree at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po), he started his career at the French Treasury. There, he worked first in the macroeconomic diagnostic and forecast division, where he was in charge of analyzing the global economic outlook and producing economic forecasts for France’s main trade partners for the official budget forecasts. In 2011, he was appointed deputy head of the public finance division, where he produced fiscal forecasts and participated in the European debates about debt sustainability and fiscal surveillance. Later, he became the financial counselor to the French Ambassador and head of the macroeconomic unit in Spain. He is also a pianist.
